U13 UFCA 25/26 - Chesterfield
In a highly anticipated top-of-the-table showdown, the U13s delivered a superb performance to secure a hard-fought 1–0 victory. From the first whistle, the team showed real intent, dominating possession and setting the tempo with quick passing and relentless pressure.
The breakthrough came towards the end of the game, after a number of missed chances, and looking like the game was going to be a draw, a period of sustained attacking play. A clever move through midfield opened space on the edge of the box, and a perfectly weighted pass found Sharpey, who's shot was blocked, but the rebound fell to Milo, who finished excellently on the half volley into the top corner.
Despite controlling large parts of the game, the team still had to show grit and discipline as we pushed for the winner. The back line stayed organised, winning tackles and cutting out danger, while the goalkeepers remained alert to make a couple of important stops in the game. A massive shout out to man of the match Oli Simms, who played with a shoulder strap on injured to get through the game, he was a real warrior in the game.
As the final whistle blew, the squad celebrated a deserved win—one built on teamwork, composure, and belief. The result puts them at the top of the league.
Final Score: U13s 1 – 0 Chesterfield.
A fantastic performance all round!
